I'm actually pretty happy to be moving onto April despite the prospect of writing every day. March was filled with lots of excitement, but some bad news writing wise. I just came to the decision that I might have to rewrite my current WIP yet again. Right now, I believe it's the right thing to do, but I'm just struggling with the idea of it. This will be my third complete rewrite and I'm not relishing the thought. I'll be axing some characters and reworking the plot slightly and changing the whole thing to first person, so, while there are some things I can keep, a lot will be new.
I'm also feeling like I need to start moving onto other projects instead of just obsessing over HIGH HOPES for the next year. I have an adult novel that I've been thinking about for years now and another YA novel about teen pregnancy that I've done some work on. I'm wondering if I should just shelve the current WIP and move onto other things? Maybe April will the be the month for new projects?
I also just entered a local writing contest today, so fingers crossed!
Here's hoping this April proves Mr. Eliot wrong!
