I'm psyched because I got my first comment in a foreign language. Cool! It was in Portuguese, so obviously, I had no idea what it said. But, according to
Babylon.com, my Brazilian visitor said, "My God, you are a very good writer! I almost wept to give you some idea!"
I don't know why this compliment was so much more awesome to me because it was not written in English. Maybe it was because I had to find an online translator, plug the words in, and then read them there for the first time. I mean, she could have written, "You are a hack! Smash your computer to pieces and never write again!" But instead, I made someone cry. Someone who lives in Brazil and speaks Portuguese.
Oh, and the post was about Harry Potter, so I can't actually take all the credit (kudos, J.K., you've done it again...).
But in any case, I needed the encouragement... in any language!
