Harry on the Brain

I'm still pretty much obsessing non-stop about my trip to Florida in two weeks for LeakyCon, so most of my thoughts have revolved around the awesomeness that is Harry Potter.

The husband and I are planning an HP movie marathon. He mentioned wanting to rewatch all seven movies before we go (we'll be seeing the final movie a day early with legions of other fans at the conference) and I nearly exploded with joy. I figure if we watch one every other night we'll be good to go (and I can get some cleaning done on off nights so we don't come home to a totally junky house).

I downloaded the LeakyCon app for my iPhone and have started going through the programming. It honestly looks amazing. There's going to be tons of sessions for aspiring writers as well as general academic and fan-related lectures. I also plan on going to morning work out sessions with The Yoga Witch!

I'm trying to learn the layout of Universal Studios so I can navigate the park properly when we're there. Universal has a park app and I found a great tourist app with information on the the rides in the park as well as wait times. Of course, I won't be waiting for any of the rides... I have a fast pass! But, still, it's good to know.

Also, I'm getting pretty psyched for the Pottermore website. It's supposed to be opening up to early registrants at the end of July and I've already got my email on the notifications list. Apparently, J.K. Rowling has written all kinds of new material for the site. You'll be able to choose a wand, be sorted, and look through all kinds of files and new information. Here's a transcript of her interview about the site.

And... last but not least... I'm getting ready to post information on a huge contest I'm holding as part of my celebration of the release of the final movie and my trip. There will be books (which I can hopefully get signed by some of the authors) and fabulous prizes from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Stop back on Friday and I'll have all the details up!

So, anyone else out there obsessing as much as I am?
