Hmmm...

This is a really interesting project...

I don't know why teen pregnancy fascinates me so much, but there's just something really intriguing about the stories of young women on there way to becoming moms while still in high school. The pressure they face. The choices they have to make. Everything that they stand to lose.

I used to obsessively watch 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom (until we cancelled MTV), and now I'm considering writing something about teen pregnancy for my next novel. I'm a little worried about undertaking something so controversial though. As the girl in the video found out, people are none to supportive of pregnant teens. What about people who write about them?

It'd be a tough subject to tackle, but I do have a weird passion for it. What do you guys think? Would you want to read a YA novel with a pregnant teen protagonist?
